Domaine des Carlines En Lya Chardonnay

A beautifully expressive Chardonnay from Domaine des Carlines in the Jura, France. En Lya comes from a 1-hectare west-facing parcel in Ménétru-le-Vignoble, within the Château-Chalon area, with distinctive grey marl and limestone soils.

The wine is 100% Chardonnay, naturally fermented and matured for 12–15 months in used Burgundy oak barrels, followed by 3–6 months of blending and maturation. It is bottled without filtration or clarification.

In the glass, En Lya shows a bright yellow colour with green reflections. The nose is rich and inviting, with notes of wet stone and ripe yellow fruit. On the palate, it is full-bodied and silky, combining ripe fruit, subtle sweetness and impressive length with the mineral character typical of the Jura.

Pairing: Excellent with fish, white meats in creamy sauces, Asian cuisine, and Jura cheeses such as Comté, Morbier and Mont d’Or. For a standout pairing, try it with fresh porcini tartare.
